GENEVA – The Herrington Inn and Spa, 15 S. River Lane, Geneva, celebrates 20 years this year.
The luxury inn, spa and meeting center originally was a creamery, supplying the town’s early settlers with dairy products circa 1864, according to its history.
But it was transformed into a waterfront boutique hotel and opened in August 1993.
The Herrington is celebrating the anniversary with a luxury weekend giveaway. The deadline to enter is June 30. One winner will be selected at random and notified July 12.
The winner must be able to stay two nights in August in the hotel’s corner suite and eat in Atwater’s private dining gazebo on the waterfront.
The winner will have treatments in the spa, be chauffeured through Geneva in the Herrington town car and given souvenir bath robes.
Entries can be sent to www.herringtoninn.com/submit-an-entry-for-our-20th-anniversary-contest.
Contest rules require one entry per email address, must be those 21 years or older with valid address, phone and email information.
Employees and their families of Shodeen Group, Shodeen Hospitality and Shaw Media are not eligible to enter or win this contest.
Also, in honor of the hotel’s 20th anniversary, an exclusive celebrity evening is scheduled 6 p.m. July 27 to benefit Jenny McCarthy’s Generation Rescue charity, which assists families affected by autism.
McCarthy will be hosting the event, which includes dinner and a silent auction.
Forty general tickets will be sold for $250 each.
Ten VIP tickets, which include a meet-and-greet with McCarthy, are $1,000.
