Icarus’s Mother is a short play by one of America’s most thought-provoking authors. Ann Keen of St. Charles directs a cast of mainly Chicago actors, including Ali Helland, Rich Helland, Bryan Breau, Georgann Charuhas and Aaron Pepple.
"Icarus’s Mother" is about five friends on a picnic, who are waiting for a fireworks display when a mysterious airplane begins circling overhead. A series of mind games and word games ensue until the final memorable moment.
Steel Beam Theatre ended its 12th season on June 2, and will resume its 13th season of six plays and musicals Sept. 13.
