Traveling Palestinian art exhibition to visit St. Charles

ST. CHARLES – The Congregational United Church of Christ, 40w451 Fox Mill Blvd., St. Charles, will host a Palestinian art exhibition throughout the month of June.
The traveling exhibit originated in Bethlehem with a juried call for artists living in Palestine, Jerusalem and Gaza, as part of a cultural initiative to bring art, culture and education to Christians and Muslims through Bright Stars of Bethlehem.
A public reception to view the artwork will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. June 28. The event will freature refreshments, music and a representative from the Bright Stars of Bethlehem will be present to share information about the organization. The hosts will also be present during an Open House that will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. June 29 and 30.
All art work is for sale and the proceeds will go directly to the artist.
Bright Stars of Bethlehem is a US charitable organization that promotes and spreads the word about outreach ministries of the Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem and the Diyar Consortium.
