Swedish Days party continues in Geneva

GENEVA – The Swedish Days festival will continue this weekend, with events scheduled through Sunday in Geneva. One event – the kids parade set for Friday – was canceled because of inclement weather.

Among the highlights:

• On Saturday, the Geneva Public Library will have the conclusion of its annual used book sale, until 3 p.m. at 127 James St. Also, the All-American Soapbox Derby takes place between Campbell and Fulton streets. From 8 a.m. to noon, there will be Swedish pancakes served at Geneva Lutheran Church, 301 S. Third St. The Sweden Väst will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at North Fourth Street.

• On Sunday, the Swedish Days parade will start at 1 p.m. An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be presented at the American Legion Post 75 tent on South Second Street. Also, the carnival and amusements will continue.
