Batavia Quilt and Textile Show set for this weekend

BATAVIA – The Batavia Quilt and Textile Show, developed by the Batavia Depot Museum to help fund new exhibits and programs, will take place Friday, July 19, through Sunday, July 21, in Shannon Hall at the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St., Batavia.
The show will feature more than 150 contemporary and historic quilts and textile pieces, raffles and quilt and textile sales in Vendor Hall. Friday and Saturday there will be quilt technique demonstrations. The demos will be offered by instructors at Prairie Shop Quilts in Batavia. Sunday will feature "A Little History of Quilting" presentation by Kathleen Tracy.
The hours of the show are 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 19; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.
The cost of admission is $6 for adults and $5 for seniors ages 60 and older. Children ages 10 and younger will be admitted for free.
