GENEVA – Wiggle Waggles Homemade Organic Pet Barkery, Bistro and Boutique, Suite 108, at 500 S. Third St., Geneva, brings the term “pet friendly” to a whole new level, as dogs sit on ottomans to dine at little tables.

For doggy’s dining pleasure, the menu offers spaghetti, fried rice, lasagna, “Muttloaf” and turkey quiche. Reservations are accepted, walk-ins welcome.

The brainchild of mom and daughter, Evelyn Keup, 55, of North Aurora and Katie Keup, 25, of Blackberry Township, the business is a big-scale operation of what Evelyn did 25 years ago at home for a dog with severe allergies, an Airedale terrier named Percy.

This is a third career for Evelyn Keup, who said she was a nurse for 30 years and a travel agent for 11. This is when her daughter Katie reminded her of the homemade dog food and treats she used to make for Percy.

“My daughter came to me and said, ‘Mom, remember when you used to make dog treats when I was little? Can we do that as a business?’ And I said, ‘If you’re game, let’s do it,’ ” Keup said.

Wiggle Waggles also offers baked pet treats made with peanut butter, cheese and other favorite dog flavors.

Because the treats have no preservatives, they have to be stored in the refrigerator or frozen.

The company also does “Pawty Planning” and cakes for dogs’ birthdays, puppy showers and … “Muttramonies,” which are pet weddings. The boutique part of the business features leashes, collars, dresses, party hats and candles, she said.
