Batavia Library to host watercolor painting class July 29

BATAVIA – "Wet-on-Wet Landscape Watercolor" will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday, July 29, at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.

The program is held in conjunction with Batavia’s ninth annual Art in Your Eye Fine Arts Festival, which will be held Sept. 21 to 22.

The program features Geneva watercolorist Fatima Figueiredo demonstrating the techniques of creating a transparent watercolor painting of a landscape in a loose, free style. Figueiredo will address composition, values, colors, how to make a thumbnail sketch, and how to translate a photo into the language of watercolor.
