ST. CHARLES – The Valley of the Fox Group of the Sierra Club will host a Fox River cruise on the St. Charles Belle, a replica 19th Cent. paddlewheel steamboat.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Boarding begins at 5:30 p.m. at Pottawatomie Park, 8 North Ave., St. Charles.

Participants will enjoy a dinner and live entertainment provided by Nate Stelton.

The featured speaker is Marc Miller, director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

The cost is $75 for one ticket or $125 for two. Proceeds will benefit the Sierra Club Water Sentinels, who collect and analyze water samples periodically on the Fox River and its tributaries.
