Local social, philanthropic club to host fashion-show luncheon Sept. 18

GENEVA – The members of the Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors club will host a "C'est La Vie" fashion show Sept. 18 for their first luncheon of the year. The event, which will feature the latest in French fashion presented by Sylvie Baumannof the C'est La Vie boutique in downtown Geneva, will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Riverside Receptions and Conference Center, 35 N. River Lane, Geneva.
There will be an 11:30 a.m. meet-and-greet followed by a luncheon and the program beginning at noon.
The menu selections will be a tomato bisque soup, followed by entree choices of a chicken waldorf salad with a fruit garnish; a salmon, rice pilaf and vegetable dish; or a vegetable stir-fry with rice or pasta. There will be a chocolate-mousse dessert and coffee and tea as well.

The Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors Club is a social and philanthropic organization for women in the area who are interested in meeting and making new friends through various social and fundraising activities.
