Greater Geneva Art Guild to present studio tour, ‘Arty Party’

GENEVA – The Greater Geneva Art Guild will host a studio tour and “Arty Party” this month.
The studio tour will feature the work of 30 local artists in nine Geneva-area homes and commercial businesses. Artists showcasing their work will include fiber artists, jewelers, metalworkers, media artists, mixed-media artists, painters, photographers, sculptors and wood workers. Some artists will give demonstrations during the studio tour, and all artwork will be available for purchase.
Studio tours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.
The Arty Party will give partygoers the chance to mingle with Geneva Art Guild member artists. There also will be refreshments, a cash bar and live band, and attendees can participate in a silent art auction and win prizes during the raffle. The Arty Party will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Geneva Golf Club, 831 South St., Geneva.
Tickets for the studio tour cost $10 and include a $10 coupon toward the purchase of artwork and a map of studio locations. Arty Party tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at various locations, including Gallery 28, Crystal Life, Circa, Art Box, Needle Things/Down to Earth Pottery, Geneva Ace Hardware and Gibby’s Wine Den. Tickets also can be bought online at www.genevaartguild.com.
