Pheasant Run to host Old House New House Home Show


ST. CHARLES –  About 300 exhibitors will be at the Old House New House Home Show running Sept. 28 and 29 at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles.

In addition to the exhibitors, there will be special programs at the show.

Lou Manfredi, WGN radio’s Mr. Fix It, will take the stage from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 28. Nicole Curtis of the “Rehab Addict” television show will host a program from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 29.

Also, Sally Morse, creative director for Hunter Douglas, and Laura Gleamza, an interior decorator from Geneva, will preside over workshops daily.

“Renovation, remodeling, transformation and restoration will be celebrated in the 58th season of this biannual event,” show organizer Laura McNamara said. “Since 1984, this event has been a hub for new trends in home improvement.”

The daily show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $7 and $4 for senior citizens (62 years old and older).

Those younger than 18 years of age will be admitted free. Parking also is free.

A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley and its ReStore, based in Elgin.
