"Wild About Wildlife" Fundraiser
A fundraiser, "Wild About Wildlife," is set from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 13 at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. There will be music from The Plant Band, food, games, crafts, a silent auction and a bake sale. There also will be an educational animal show. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for youths, and those 3 and younger are free. The cost for a family of two adults and as many as five kids will be $50. The Fifth Third Bank Ballpark is at One Cougar Trail in Geneva, off of Kirk Road.
This event is a fundraiser for the Fox Valley Wildlife Center, located at the Elburn Forest Preserve. For information, visit www.foxvalleywildlife.org. The center is run completely off of donations and fundraisers. The center takes in injured and orphaned wildlife and provides them with hospital care until they can be released into the wild.
