"Fuddy Mears" at the Albright Theatre
The Albright Theatre Company brings the bizarre but comedic world of "Fuddy Meers" by David Lindsay-Abaire to the stage this fall.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life again. Claire has a rare form of amnesia that erases her memory when she sleeps, leaving her husband to explain her condition over and over again. But then, a limping, lisping, half-blind, half-deaf man appears and claims to be her brother, there to save her. Claire is hustled off to the home of her mother whose speech is reduced to utter gibberish due to a stroke. Then, add a dimwitted thug with a foul-mouthed hand puppet, Claires husband, her perpetually stoned son, and a claustrophobic female cop into the mix. Each twist brings Claire closer to discovering her past, while surrounded by alarmingly bizarre characters.
Performance dates are:
November 9, 10 & 11 and 16 & 17
with show times on Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm.
