Maple Sugaring Days
Don't miss this annual salute to spring, Maple Sugaring Days on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3, at Johnson's Mound in Elburn. Join Kane County Forest District naturalists as they explore the art, science and folklore of maple sugaring, from Native Americans to modern times. There will be guided hikes, tapping demos, hand drills for your own practice, and the tastiest part: syrup samples! Make this free program a fun, springtime tradition for your family. The event takes place from 1pm-4pm both days.
