STAGE, the parent booster group that supports theater arts at both Batavia High and Rotolo Middle Schools, will sponsor a dinner fundraiser in conjunction with the comedy classic, Arsenic and Old Lace, at The Batavia Fine Arts Centre on April 26th and 27th, beginning at 5:30 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to dine in our Black Box theatre before seeing the the classic show performed on the main stage at 7:30 pm. Dinner guests will be transported to Brooklyn, New York, circa 1939, as the Black Box is transformed into the Brewster family dining room. Relax and dine in the peace and gentility of a by-gone era, surrounded by heirlooms and antiquity.
Old family recipes have recently been unearthed and brought delightfully up to date by Batavia’s own contemporary chef, Jason Stoffels of Enticing Cuisine, who will prepare a multi-course dinner, served family-style, and finished with a nostalgic slice of Lady Baltimore cake, delicately flavored with almond (an old Brewster family secret), and expertly prepared by a Maevey Cakes of Batavia.
In addition to the meal, each guest will receive an Arsenic and Old Lace souvenir glass, commemorating this very special event. Seating is limited. Tickets are available at www.BataviaFineArtsCentre.org.
