Lake County Model Railroad Club Spring Open House

The Lake County Model railroad club announces its annual Early Spring open house. The club operates an HO scale permanent operating model railroad, in a 30 by 60 foot room occupying over 1,500 square feet. Although the layout is now close to 40 years old it is uses the latest digital technology to operate and simulate railroad activity. In addition the kids will love the scavenger hunt while they search for wolves, buffalo, people fishing, and other unique features on the layout. Dates and location for the open house are: Saturday & Sunday, February 26 & 27 2011 107 S. Main St. (Rear Entrance) Two blocks north of IL 176. Wauconda, IL. 60084 Join them from 11:00 am- 4:00pm. Admission is free, and families are encouraged to attend. Individuals bringing an item for the Wauconda food pantry will receive a free raffle ticket toward the door prize.
