Annual Handbell Concert at First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake
The 4th annual Handbell Concert at First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake (FCC) will be featuring the Jubilate Adult Handbell Choir on Sunday, February 27, at 4:00 p.m. Under the direction of FCC Bellmaster Toni Gambini, the choir will be performing pieces including Toccata Allegro composed by Mallory Ferraro, Julie Turner, and Jeffrey Hall, Trilogy composed by Michael Helman and Velocity composed by H. Dean Wagner. Cynara Pierzina and Cindy Zimmerman, local flutists, will be featured in Fantasia, an exquisite composition by Cynthia Dobrinski. The concert will conclude with Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 arranged by D. Wagner. The variety, quantity, and quality of concert pieces are sure to give the ringers a thorough workout and the audience a joyful and exuberant visual and sonic experience. After the concert, there will be refreshments in Fellowship Hall. FCC’s Handbell Choir program, started in 1976, includes our adult choir, three youth bell choirs for fourth grade through eighth grade students and Good Vibrations, our high school bell choir. First Congregational Church is located at 461 Pierson St in Crystal Lake. All are welcome to come and relax in the beautiful sanctuary to experience the stunning acoustics at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday February 27th.
