Education workshop series for parents of gifted and talented students offered
The Gifted and Talented Program and the Community of Gifted Children Organization is excited to offer an education workshop series for parents of gifted and talented students, as well as others who are interested in becoming more involved in the education of their high ability students. This four part workshop will cover topics such as social emotional issues, appropriate programming, enrichment activities, programs outside the school system, and advocacy. The first in this four part workshop series begins on Wednesday, February 16, with the remaining sessions on March 23, April 13, and May 18. All sessions will be held at Heineman Middle School beginning at 6:30 p.m. Parents are invited to attend some or all sessions. The workshop series is being offered for the nominal fee of $5.00 which includes a flash drive for each family containing materials and information from each of the four part education sessions. Heineman Middle School is located at 725 Academic Drive, Algonquin, Illinois, 60102.
