Writer Recalls Afternoon with Alfred Lunt, Lynn Fontanne
As a columnist for the Milwaukee Journal, Michael Drew came to Genesee Depot, Wisconsin, one snowy day in 1967 to interview Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne at their Ten Chimneys estate. Drew appears at the Woodstock Opera House on Thursday, March 17, 2011 to recount this unforgettable afternoon, bringing with him rare footage of their performances as well as anecdotes about the first couple of American theater from fellow actors. The presentation begins at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $23 and may be purchased through the box office at 815-338-5300. The program is part of the Creative Living Series sponsored by the Woodstock Fine Arts Association, now in its 47th season. Attendees are invited for coffee and conversation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Stage Left Café next to the Opera House.
