ICE MELTIN’ BLUES
Long Grove’s Historic Business District hosts its annual live music weekend, ICE MELTIN’ BLUES, to give guests a fun reason to break out of the long winter. A wide variety of musical acts will perform inside shops and restaurants, so weather is not a concern. Long Grove is well known for arts and culture, and talented artists gather here regularly. Most entertainment is free, except where restaurants encourage calling ahead for reservations to assure seating, and food and drink are sold. For shopping, sampling and wandering between venues, this weekend is traditionally the first of many “fests” that Long Grove hosts. Long Grove Historic Village is a unique collection of stylish boutiques, galleries, restaurants and specialty food shops that has attracted visitors from near and far, from around the world, for many years. Long Grove is located in southern Lake County, Illinois, just northwest of Routes 53 and 83, and 35 miles northwest of Chicago. The district offers free parking and is open every day, all year long.
