The 4th annual Children’s Oncology Services, Inc. (COSI) Campfire Ball will be held on Saturday, May 21 at Venue One. It’s all about the fun, without the curfew! Campfire Ball will be the premier event for a non-profit fundraiser at this hot new event space in the West Loop. Venue One will set the stage for a memorable night full of inventive cocktails served by local celebrities, camp-themed favorite foods an unique wine and silent auction and don’t forget about dancing! “This is one of our favorite fundraisers since its inspired by our biggest program that we run for the kids at Children’s Oncology Services....summer camp!” said Rachel Drescher, event chair of Campfire Ball and camp counselor. “Through Campfire Ball guests will get a glimpse of the important work that Children’s Oncology Services does all year long for children with pediatric cancer.” And of course, there will be gourmet s‘mores! (COSI) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer. Through the One Step At A Time programs, COSI offers camp experiences and educational programs throughout the year that allow children with cancer to just be kids. Founded on the principle of volunteerism, all programs are run by counselors, medical staff and administrators who generously donate their time and services. Tuition for all One Step At A Time programs is based on a family’s own assessment of their ability to pay and no one is ever turned away.
