Penny Pancakes
The Cary Lions Club is working with Colonial to educate the community about Autism. The Crystal Lake Colonial Cafe`is having their annual Penny Pancakes Day on Thursday, April 14th. The event asks that you come in and enjoy pancakes for a penny each and then make a donation from the money saved to assist local autism needs. The Children’s Center for Autism, located in Cary & McHenry, offers the community autism information, resources and agency linkage. Additionally, CCA operates a 24-hour therapeutic group home for children ages 6-21 diagnosed with severe autism. The main goal is to help each child achieve the highest quality of life possible. Keeping each individual’s strengths, interests, and goals in mind, real life experiences are used to teach independence and competence in a variety of areas. Stop in at Colonial Café anytime on 4/14/11. Enjoy great pancakes and make a donation to the Children’s Center for Autism.
