The Downtown St. Charles Partnership, a volunteer-driven, 501c3 Main Street organization, carries out its mission by supporting historic building preservation, recruiting new businesses, supporting business development and retention, ensuring communication between business and property owners and local government, and marketing and promoting Downtown St. Charles.~ Through these efforts, Downtown St. Charles is a place where businesses can thrive and residents can enjoy a high quality of life.
The Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau promotes the City of St. Charles, Villages of Campton Hills and Elburn, and the Townships of St. Charles and Campton as a destination for leisure visitors, meetings, conventions, motorcoach trips and sports events. Greater St. Charles boasts 2402 guest rooms at 12 unique hotel properties, including Pheasant Run Resort, the Q Center and the historic Hotel Baker; 11 tournament quality sports venues; three expo centers; a county fairgrounds; four live theaters; 25+ attractions including paddlewheel boats, museums and historic buildings; and a myriad of restaurants.
The St. Charles Heritage Center is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization consisting of historic archives and The St. Charles History Museum. The Center serves citizens and the community by collecting, preserving and presenting local and regional history. The History Museum Houses the exhibit hall, the Anderson Research Room, photo & research archives, Museum Gift Shop, administrative offices and the storage-preservation repository for the Center's collections. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm.
The Park District has served St. Charles area residents since 1911. With more than 1,400 acres of park land, people of all ages and ability levels can enjoy leisurely walks, running, bicycling, golfing, picnicking, boating, fishing, skating, soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, and more! Experience the joy of learning and sharing, the thrill of adventure and discovery, and the pride of accomplishment at Park District facilities. People of all ages are encouraged to enjoy their local parks and participate in a multitude of Park District recreation programs.
